It got a little crazy at this point because of increased traffic, a low railroad bridge and some barge traffic. If you aren't aware, Decatur is a huge barge port. We had another 6 hours to go before getting to our campsite near New Orleans. When we arrived it was about 7 pm. We set up camp, Hugh and Matt played on the play structure and explored while I fixed dinner.
All in all it was a good day, long drive but we made it.
