Spring has sprung in Denton. The trees are leafing up, roses are blooming and wildfowers and birds are everywhere. I walked into Denton this morning, about 2.6km. On the way I found a little piece of Tibet. It is a yoga place so I will be going back there for at least one class, just for the atmosphere. I didn't stop to get another chilli coffee as the café was crowded, so that will be on the list for Monday and Tuesday.... Along the way I happened on 'Sleeping ...

... and Spanish - Texas was a Spanish Colony until the 1800's. I found a great little coffee shop called 'Jupiters' which is a bit like 'The Sweat Shop' back in Townsville used to be. Loads of coffees, smoothies etc and a bohemian atmosphere. Uni students populate this place, all with their laptops, tablets out because it has free wifi. And the shops; there is a dress shop called La De Da where I could buy every dress!!! How unusual. Its sister shop next ...

... to recall the events of that day. The cockroach museum lightened things up for us- it was a quick, but memorable stop( wink, wink!). Our drive to Austin was full of exclamations-"Blue Bonnets!! Blue Bonnets on the right!!" The roadside was so colorful. Once in Austin, it was fried chicken at Lucy's- fun to sit out in the cool evening air with a tin bucket of fried chicken- and some FRIED deviled eggs. Yep- gotta get a cholesterol check once we return ...

... still burying nuts (pecans from Jean's trees) and out the front there is a pair of mockingbirds hopping around the tree. Wildflowers abound in people's yards and often they don't mow until the seeds are set, or mow around the patch. Jean's cats are warming to me and I am getting rubs and being asked for pats and head scratches. A soft cool breeze is wafting through the window and I can sleep under covers which is a pleasant ...

... look good, Dad's sodium level is at all time high of 138. Big relief. Bad news is that Dad's white blood count is way up and his chest x-Ray shows a lung infection. He says that he won't tell us what we should do but recommends that we not continue to travel. Huge relief, no more indecision. I just have to get us back to Honolulu!

Returned to apartment and spent about 2 hours on the phone with AA. They really worked hard to get us back. We left London ...
