    Saw this sign on the side of a Hardware Store in Abilene.

    Learned a bit more about Old Abilene when at the Eisenhower Museum. Both are built on a flood plain (a couple of blocks apart).     ... RV (after going by Freddy’s for French fries!). The burgers were ok but I have had better (that’s my critique)! Salina seems to be moving forward on the edge of town as it has quite a lot of fast food establishments as well as the usual strip mall stores we all know.     I've given up hope for Kansas to become flat like everyone told me. I don't know what to expect from Missouri. I'm at my halfway point through Kansas though. I found a city park where they offer free overnight camping. There is also a city pool up the hill. Since there are no showers in the park, I used the pool's showers.
