I had a partner for my run this morning! Uncle Art and I took a 6 mile loop around Clawson (he biked, I ran). He showed me the old Kelley-boy household (4 brothers) and their old high school. We even went by “8-mile” road, as in Eminem’s 8-mile. Sweet. It was the first decent, long-ish run I'd had in awhile. I even have some new kicks. This was the perfect way to begin our trip! ... headed back to the outer area and once again waited for the shuttle, in the cold, getting splashed on every time a vehicle passed overhead, until it arrived. At the hotel, after checking in and saying our goodbyes, I headed to my room and took a very warm shower and fell asleep at around 3am.
At 8am I started the process of heading back in after breakfast to catch my new flight and hoping this one would go smoothly...and it did.
