We even went by “8-mile” road, as in Eminem’s 8-mile. Sweet. It was the first decent, long-ish run I'd had in awhile. I even have some new kicks. This was the perfect way to begin our trip! Uncle Art and Aunt Paula’s hospitality was outstanding. Thank you guys so ...

... why I wanted to go, other than I felt God nudging me to go beyond the walls of my comfortable world. The images I had of Haiti before the trip were from the news, their past, the political issues and of course of the 2010 earthquake. What I discovered was nothing short of amazing. Yes there is the dirt and grim but like I said before, the beauty in the people and the surroundings took my breath away and transformed my opinion of the country ...
