Today we rode off into the rolling hills of Missouri and encountered our first road grade greater than 10%. We expect to see a lot more of this in the coming days. Once again the weather gods smiled on us, the wind was minimal, there was no rain and a bit of cloud cover did not spoil our day. We enjoyed the rural ride through small, well kept farms and had a dinner repast at a local truck stop adjoining our hotel....ah the luxuries of the itinerant ...
... looking into taking me down there to visit. The company is arranging a day in November when the students will travel to Rome for a day or two to do some sightseeing. This is incredibly exciting. I've been dreaming of making my wish at the Trevi Fountain since I was seven years old. I leave in 73 days and I'm incredibly nervous. I'm equally excited as I am nervous, though.

She finished classes in October, right before her eighteenth birthday and she started college classes in January, but she gets to walk across the stage at the Joplin High School graduation ceremony ...

We left Sue & Al’s at 10:00 AM and headed north on US71 to Fort Smith AR, and then I-540 and US 71 to the MO state line.
