... half one, we decided to instead spend the afternoon round the pool at my apartment which was lovely since it was really the first time we'd chilled since being here. In the evening we went to a restaurant called "Wokano" - a sushi and Asian bar. The food was delicious and the staff were extremely friendly. I look forward to taking anyone who comes to visit J

... going on, so we stopped by there and watched the dancing and shopped in the historic Olvera Street area of LA. We had juicy burger, and I discovered a new croissant place, $1.50 for a croissant the size of your head! And then we cooked lots of meals at home too, pot roast and tacos and such. It was an awesome trip and I can't wait to go back at the end of the summer!

... PCH and walked the main drag. We ended up at the Encinitas Ale House, we got a drink here with Sinclair a few nights earlier so we knew they had a great tap list and pretty good happy hour. We had a drink and appetizer while enjoying some conversation with a local who was very intrigued by our journey and also had some recommendations, as well as being an advocate for relocating to Encinitas.

... stars.. but it still counted to us! We then endluged ourselves in a desert treat of 'smors' which is an excellent american invention of toasted marshmellows (we got to toast them over our own open fire!) and chocolate sandwiched between some biscuits. Heavenly. After lots of tasty cocktails and some free shots (oh yea) we stumbled back towards home.

We are still getting used to everything being backwards. Like really ...

... Margaritas, sadly not both for me. More bag duties and then Leanne cut me loose so I went for a walk around the far end of the site then decided that was enough and I was going back to the other park once I had visited the House of Blues.

In North Carolina we had been paying $8 for a 6 pack of Sam Adams, at the House of Blues I paid $8 for 1 and that was all I was having at those prices, no wonder no one was in there. Duke was on TV and had ...
