        ... It was not only a laundromat; there was also a hair salon, auto repair shop and a fish-tackle-tack shop all in one! Ambitious proprietor.

        We like to visit college campuses if we aren't too far away. Luckily we were only about 15 miles from Penn State, so off we went. Many of the small towns and villages along the way look like the background for old time postcards. The homes, churches, store fronts and farms maintain ...

        Well this is not how I wanted to start this blog...but my luck with travel persists... My flight to DC was cancelled tonight.,most of you have experienced the lovely storms in our area....just ask my beautiful whippet Riese after hiding in the basement for 7 hours today! So, after rebooking with a very non-English speaking agent, I now leave tomorrow morning ...

        ... out all the logistics with all the costs associated! I am actually calmer now just having a plan and bookings... At first that scared the heck out of me, but now it is actually making me calm...go figure! It's still hard to wrap my head around being out of the country for almost a month. how do I pack? What will I need, what can I take...what can't I take? And it's only 2 weeks ...
