      ... went back to Battery Park and the 9/11 memorial but were pleased that we had done them day before as we didn't have long at each venue. We did see the memorial dedicated to the firefighters who lost their lives, something we didn't know was there until the guide told us. Our final stop was at Grand Central Terminal where we were shown around and then had lunch. Definitely a better Monday lunch than we normally have!

      ... or so before the tour began, so had a mooch in the Team Store. I wanted a Red Sox flag to add to my collection, but no such luck. It may be because they are in the World Series this year. Incidentally, when I visited San Francisco the Giants were in the World Series and won... let's see if the Red Sox do the same ;O) Instead of the flag, I bought a green 'Red Sox' tee and some red socks.       ... visit neither place would feature high on our list of must sees, though they were pleasant enough, but our visit to Boston was an eye opener. The driving there was awful as the place is a parking lot but what was eye opening was the sheer patriotism of the place which helped us understand why the Yanks are a bunch so fervently patriotic.
