... and think about our foreparents (Yes, that's a word. I just made it up.) in many generations taking it on by foot or by horse. Those people had to be in killer shape. Nature's gym. A lot to be said for that...

Darkness has settled over the mountains now. But there are still kiddo voices ringing out, along with rapid footsteps. I think there's a passel of boys in the rooms above me. And their patient parents. Nature sounds abound. And all is right with the world.

... cool enough to turn on the heater. The Biltmore was of course spectacular!  We saw every nook and cranny that we could see.  We ate on the patio overlooking the home and later in Biltmore village had the most delicious ice cream that is made from the original Biltmore recipe. ... Before we had communion, Joe washed our feet, portraying the message Jesus left for the disciples to carry on. This worship was a great closing to the week. ... to Antler Hill Village & Winery. The Biltmore Winery building. originally the Biltmore Dairy Barn. We did the wine tasting and they make some very good wine. We walked through the shops in the village before leaving the property. I have wanted to visit Biltmore for many years so I can now check that off my list.
