After a short 4 hour drive from Dallas we made it to our campsite in Louisiana. We are pretty central in Louisiana staying in a national park right on a lake. Assuming there are no alligators it will be refreshing to swim in it because the humidity here is not very fun. We met our camp hosts at the campground and there were about as typical southerners as you could be. They had a sandwich size ziploc of chewing tobacco that I'm pretty sure they finished in about an hour. They ...
... no hot water! Surprise of the day, we only had to pay $7/night...for the life of us, we can't figure out how the office came up with that figure. Sherry, the good person that she is, tried explaining the math, but they insisted. $14. Ok. Thanks. We like Louisiana math but I don't think I should try using it at work! ;-) Early night tonight. Long road trip tomorrow, will be gone by daybreak. Next stop, Roswell, New Mexico! Will be on the lookout for aliens!!! Thanks for ...

More tomorrow or thereabouts... Pics included this eve, if I get my assets in gear.
... seen. Unbelievable!
We made it back to camp in spite of the crazy driving habits of the locals. The turn signal seems to be quite optional here. And they dart! You just never know where they'll end up. I saw one car move from the inside lane on a four lane road to the turn lane, across traffic, in a flash. No signal, just speed...worked for him, but scared the bejesus our of yours truly.
For dinner we had nothing. Lynn did have a bit ...
