Vandaag een lange reisdag (ongeveer 600 km) dus staan we om 7 uur naast ons bed. Waarschijnlijk voor de laatste keer een lekker vers Engels ontbijt met roerei, worstjes en aardappeltjes. Hierna slapen we voornamelijk in motels en niet meer in hotels en daar komt bijna alles uit plastic verpakkingen. Uiteindelijk rijden we om 8.45/9.00 weg richting …

The weather was good heading north...missed most of the rain that was predicted on Monday...but boy did we hit a lot of bugs in Georgia. Our windshield was practically covered! Then, when the rain hit, Richard was hesitant to turn in the wipers...thought we'd have a blinding mess...but it was fine. We stayed in Wytheville, VA last night and got a good start this morning.

What a trip in 12 "short" ...

... need to eat up some miles, but the views were still good.

We decided to visit Pittsburgh for a late lunch, and were persuaded by an enthusiastic waitress to try a Greek Restaurant. The food had mixed, if not widely-divergent, reviews. The route to the restrooms led right through the kitchen, and Mandy wished she had eaten first like the rest of us. Ah well, you can't win them all.

It had been said that of all of the venues we were to have on this tour, this one would be the worst. Not because of crowds, but because of the load-in/load out. I truly believe that what they said was wrong. ... out of the past 3 days of rain and the wind had shifted. Could it be a harbinger of change?

As we drove around the mostly empty campground, we noticed the sites are not at all very level. Yikes. We search for a site which will give us the right angle to connect the satellite TV for reception. Turns out it is 210 degrees (or southwest) where it was 170 degrees (south by southeast) in Seattle. Duh.
