Nice park but after the other national parks we've visited so far this one was just ok, interesting rock formations and the grasslands were very pretty. Great free primitive camping area where the local rangers came in and did a talk about hunting and gathering in the area, had a go at throwing an Atlatl (primitive spear) and we both sucked at it. We walked the land that Laura walked and touched the trees that Pa had planted (thousands he planted, only a half dozen remain.) The slough was still there, just not as big. It was walking in deja vu. Everything we'd read was in fact real.
