... River at the "famous" Yankton Bridge. Leaving Nebraska behind we continued north , always north into South Dakota. The land flattened but with quite a bit of water around, the farming became more mixed, with cattle , wheat , soya bean appearing. Looking out we saw dark clouds, and briefly the possibility of a tornado was discussed. " we need to keep an eye on that " says David. Well my eyes were glued to it ! Sorry that it has been a long wait but we have not had internet for a while and when we have we have been busy.

After saying goodbye to our new found friends, we left Fort Laramie and then spent a couple of hours doing laundry and shopping.

... br> freedom camping days I didn't care. Kaitlin came along as there are
no doors on shower or toilets, just curtains so it felt a little too
exposed. Great water pressure though and in the end it was pretty ok.
The owner was odd and the place was run down. Wouldn't be my first
choice of a place to stay but it was the only campground in De Smet
so if you want to see Laura Ingalls Wilder related things, you have
to stay there or miles away.

While we were at breakfast the shop called to let us know that the motorhome would be ready mid-afternoon. This was unexpected but welcome news! We packed up and checked out of the hotel by the 11 deadline. Having a few hours to kill we decided to visit Falls Park to see the famous
