... along the way. He dropped me off on the main drag in Ennis to browse through some of the shops. A quick trip to the grocery store and we returned to the cabin to make plans for moving on to Glacier National Park. Buddy
remarked that he was surprised that with such abundant sunshine and breezy conditions we had not seen any solar panels or wind farms anywhere in our Montana travels.

... Boy. It was good to have a day of downtime in a comfortable, well-furnished cabin. We drove into town so I
could upload pics to Facebook and my travel blog. In town Bud bought a beautiful antler knife crafted by local artisans. I found a very nice grocery store and got supplies to make fried chicken, mashed potatoes and broccoli casserole. We simply rested for the evening.

... We made
it back to Grant Village and while Bud loaded the bike I sat on the floor of the post office to charge up my laptop and cell phone. We left Yellowstone around 5:30 p.m. out the west exit and an uncertain stopping place for the night. We took route 287 past Earthquake Lake
and found a boon docking spot around 9 p.m. at their visitor’s center. We were both exhausted.

... stained wood came together to make the bar and backdrop. The large mirrors behind the counter were plastered with funny but not PC bumper stickers. A couple of drinks and we went back to the campground, which, by the way, Rick told us a guy fishing had been killed in a grizzly attack a couple of years ago. That explained the ridiculously cheap price of $4.50/night. We feasted on burgers, fried potatoes and corn on the cob.

... br> Horses and more horses…we were getting close to Cody. The last town, Emblem, 33 miles back, had a population of 10. The only thing I saw there was a post office. Cody, Wyoming…a good size town with all of the modern conveniences: McDonalds, K-mart. We’re good. Another gas stop of $62.08 and we stopped at a great Wal-mart Supercenter for the night. We covered 440 miles of amazing territory!
