Welp! Travel with today's airline industry means nothing is ever on time. The flight coming from NYC to SYR is delayed. That means we are delayed. Katie and I decided to head down to NYC a night early for this very reason. There is a lot less risk this way -- plus I think we can find something to do while we are in the city. A little old fashioned place but clean sheets, quiet room and good bed! Dropped our luggage off then headed out to look around. Had lunch at another sports bar called Tully's - lots of atmosphere and great chicken Mediterranean salad - too big to finish for ...

... a spectacular wooded campsite on the banks of the Black River. We had the rustic bath house to ourselves, no other campers in sight. Dan warned us not to be afraid if we saw the resident hermit. He allows a "Mountain Man" to live in the deep woods along the river. Flashbacks of Deliverance make us grimace.
