... courtesy car, but I wanted to walk a bit after sitting for almost seven hours. With the temperature in the 90s, walking one way was enough.

Weather tomorrow is looking marginal. I'm staying at the airport tonight for a hopefully early start tomorrow. Stay tuned.

after a few hours we met up with Bob the guy we met on the first day of the TAT. we took a few photos etc and headed on. we soon came across a flooded part of the trail. Bob went first to give us a clue as to depth,...ummm looks risky but on we go. the flooded part went on and turned a corner which caught us out and ...

... attempted to bring it inside our home for the jump the next morning and because our door isn’t quite wide enough, we ended up scraping the paint off the sides as we shoved the barrel in. Sigh. I thought of a quick-ish temporary solution to the space issues with the dock that John’s going to implement and then hopefully that will give us the time needed to get the barrel done if he ends up still wanting to use it.

Rip Van Wrinkle or Crash N Burn

This was a very long, tedious day of driving. Nothing eventful happened except the driver's stress created by interchange systems at larger cities and road construction along the way. The highlight of the day was the 12, maybe it really was 13 or 14 hours sleep - well needed, for sure. As we woke in the night and then went back to sleep, it felt like we actually slept for several ...

Today was a travelin' day and we did putting on 474miles in about 9 1/2 hours. Car went perfect not having a problem at all with the Texas summer. Looks like the couple changes made to the cooling system worked. (knock on wood) I know I'm a little way from home yet. Doug did dick today resting for a possible Elvis day tomorrow. ...
