... before we know it we are descending on Toronto. The final descent and taxiing to the terminal take about 30 minutes. It is great to get up and move around a bit. Pearson International is huge and it is a bit overwhelming trying to get to where we need to go but once we find the sign directing us to baggage we continue in that direction till we find the carousel and then we wait for the bags which have a ladybug ribbon tied to the handles. So June in Canada seems to be the month of many Festivals of the Arts. Karin took us to one in Cambridge Ontario, the Mayor's Celebration of the Arts. ... a great al fresco meal. Susan decided she wanted to make a marble cake and Patrick was roped in to assist(!); duly completed and the kitchen cleaned up, while the cake was cooking the adults took Cedar for a walk around the neighbourhood to the University. We all finished off the evening with a delicious slice of still- warm cake and a game of banagrams: we learnt a new word for our vocabulary – dojo. A wonderful and fun-filled family afternoon and ...

Ben and I have finally made it to the airport to head to Europe. The adventure has already begun when we were told that our bags had to be checked as oversized luggage. No big deal...just hope they don't get lost! We proceeded to security where Ben was pulled aside for a hand swab and once the hand swabber "saved his life" we quickly bypassed the extremely long security line. We have ...
