    ... a blues quartet at an outdoor beer garden. These guys were very good, and very “authentic” city characters, complete with cigarettes tucked into their guitar bridges. After wandering the streets a bit we settled in a bar with a piano player and had a platter of BBQ ribs. It was OK, but not really terrific, so after dinner we found another bar for beer dessert with a quintet of older guys who were a great finale to our Memphis visit.

    ... saints and marched around for a while before taking their places on the stage. The band was made up of some very interesting characters but the music was so amazing. From the keyboard to the sax to the trumpet to the drummer back to the guitarist and singer. They played a side range of songs but were truly entrancing when they were playing.     ... and "Poke Salad Annie". He sounded pretty good as Elvis, until he talked and then he sounded like Elvis on helium. Think of a high pitched "Thank you... Thank you very much". We watched until he took a really long break and we got tired of waiting.     ... rest of the night was to head down to the conference room, where we would have a quick meeting on what time we would leave in the morning – the plan was to leave early, so we could get to new Orleans and still be able to have a look around, once the meeting was over we ordered pizza, ate it while watching a movie, talking and relaxing. Because we were going to leave early in the morning, most people went off to bed by 9.30pm, i followed soon after and went to bed by 10pm.
