We settled on Galveston Island as our destination, as the state park there sounded attractive. Having stocked up on food and beverages we drove to the campground. corners up to a marina so it all fits in. Coming in to the expansive parking
lot you are first greeted by a gift shop, and then a second bar, and then the
main bar which is right along the waterways and to the marina side encompasses
a large man made beach where the kids can run around and play on the swings
