Freezing cold & windy. Great view though. Then we went to a tiny place called Wappingers Falls because we passed a proper coffee shop on our way home last night & we needed a real coffee for a change. And it was good. Had to fill the car which was a bit of ...

... outing to Olana for the group this sunday but there were not enough takers so it was cancelled and oddly, there we were, four of us! Including Emma. Emma and I had to run because our house tour was just about to begin. I really enjoyed the tour and the description of the Churches' life there. Then we headed back home.

... couldn't tell which room was Eleanor's and which was that of the manservant by the time I walked up and down the corridor fighting my way to the doorways to take photos. Now I can only identify two of the rooms (I hope).

There were other parts of the FDR historical site to visit, like Val-Kill, Eleanor's retreat cottage, but we ran out of time so headed off for our hotel with the possibility of walking on the bridge over the Hudson if we had time.
