Modern room - comfortable and very clean. Only downside was the corridor smelt like smoke although all the rooms where non smoking - perhaps from old carpet. Wifi - you had to pay for which was a bit disappointing and the wifi range was poor. Walls a little thin but thankfully everyone was quiet. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Not much to do nearby but walking distance to a supermarket and a few restaurants. Idaho Falls downtown and actual falls are a short drive away.

Tyson at the front desk is clueless and needs to get a new job. The place is dated, key cards don't work, but the Sox are on and it's a roof.

After having breakfast at hotel in St George, Utah (basic buffet) we got on the road again. Heading out of Utah, which on reflection has to be one of the most beautiful states into Idaho. Idaho in contrast was flat and green compared to Utah.

We stopped about 40 miles past Salt Lake City in Ogden, Utah for lunch in a little diner. It was …

... skies and you’d have west Texas: dirt stains the blues a jaundice two to three times a week – you’ll end up breathing about as much dirt as air. But here in Idaho, an assortment of beautiful light blues paint stroked the sky all around the silvery clouds; far off in the distance the jagged peaks of the Grand Tetons were silhouetted behind a concentrated veil of indigo, where the only pieces that could be seen were steep delineations and filtered ...

Fortunately decided to turn right off the skungy bypass route. There are falls here, right in town. Best western, Driftwood Inn, and dinner at Snow Eagle Brewing and Grill. Both worth a return visit. Tonight it's going to be 3 degrees, and tomorrow 21. Glad we didn't send everything back to ...

... they are having a convention in Spearfish, South Dakota and that is where they are headed.

After we eat we head out toward Idaho Falls. This is pretty much just a driving day, so we do not expect anything eventful. As we drive we continue seeing the beautiful mountains that we have come to expect being out West. I can never get enough of them.

It is interesting that everywhere we stop, people ask us, ...
