Modern room - comfortable and very clean. Only downside was the corridor smelt like smoke although all the rooms where non smoking - perhaps from old carpet. Wifi - you had to pay for which was a bit disappointing and the wifi range was poor. Walls a little thin but thankfully everyone was quiet. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Not much to do nearby but walking distance to a supermarket and a few restaurants. Idaho Falls downtown and actual falls are a short drive away.

Tyson at the front desk is clueless and needs to get a new job. The place is dated, key cards don't work, but the Sox are on and it's a roof.

We crossed into Idaho from Utah this morning. We arrived at the Snake River Park in Idaho Falls around noon. The drive here was again an easy drive. I am just amazed how little traffic there has been on the highways compared to California. Maybe we have just been lucky. Idaho so far is pretty, our drive was through mostly cattle and farm land. The landscape is grassy rolling hills. There is ...

... It is quite a fascinating place.

We continued on the byway, often the only vehicle for miles, until the little town of Arco, whose original name was Root Hog. Arco was the first town in the world to be lit by atomic power, in 1955. It lasted just two hours but it worked. During the Cold War, southwest Idaho was a hotbed of nuclear study and experimentation; of course it was all secret. There is still an ...

We waited another half hour outside hoping it would dry up enough that they would open the rides but it kept raining. We went into the resort and found a pizza place to eat at and wait out the rain. An hour later it was still raining off ...
