Modern room - comfortable and very clean. Only downside was the corridor smelt like smoke although all the rooms where non smoking - perhaps from old carpet. Wifi - you had to pay for which was a bit disappointing and the wifi range was poor. Walls a little thin but thankfully everyone was quiet. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Not much to do nearby but walking distance to a supermarket and a few restaurants. Idaho Falls downtown and actual falls are a short drive away.

Tyson at the front desk is clueless and needs to get a new job. The place is dated, key cards don't work, but the Sox are on and it's a roof.

... grand farmland, passed the American Falls Dam and then turned north on I15N and made our way to Idaho Falls for a stop. We had booked rooms at the Sleep Inn this morning as with all the holiday makers and National Park visitors the accommodations are mostly booked out. As usual the Sleep Inn was ultra comfy and after unloading our stuff we drove off into town and did a spot of shopping before having dinner. The lost hour made it a late night, and all the driving must ...

... up in the morning, drove though Southern Oregon and arrived in Ontario, Idaho. We were super glad to have made it through Southern Oregon, as there was absolutely nothing but mile after mile, after mile of scrub brush. A breakdown between Fall River and Ontario, Idaho would have been an adventure, for sure! After a couple of days spent recuperating in Ontario, we were off to Idaho Falls, Idaho and two of our greatest National Parks, Grand Teton and Yosemite. ...

We keep driving until it is dark before we stop to eat. We do not want to miss seeing anything. We decide to eat at Red Lobster in Pocatello, Idaho. We never dreamed our 30th wedding anniversary dinner would be THERE! Dinner is great and we finally make it to Idaho Falls and check in for the night. Tomorrow will be a LONG day. We have TWO National Parks to see and over 3 hours to drive to our hotel tomorrow night.

The food was great. Joe ordered a hot roast beef sandwich, and I ordered the last of the lunch specials- the chicken pot pie. It had gone fast.

The cinnamon buns were JUST like my grandmother used to make for us- a whole tray at a time- it takes a big pan and a big oven. They are SO ...

discovered black is not a good colour for the dust around here. Darren has safely taken us to the state of Idaho. Once we have lunch it will be my turn to try and drive for a while
again. We are both tired and need all our concentration. The the air is very dry and our eyes sore.
