The long ride to Yellowstone!

... up and it was smooth sailing.......or so we thought. It got colder and the wind was increasing as we went. Thank goodness my bike is big and heavy. It took the wind well, but it was slow going. We had hoped to get to Sioux City, but only made it to Fort Dodge. About 125 miles short of the plan.
Tomorrow we hope to ride about 450-500 miles if we can.

The overnight in the dorm was welcome, despite the VERY hard bed! We went outside and discovered evidence that it had rained during the night, so it was sure nice not to have to be packing up a wet tent! Some fruit, coffee and breakfast sandwiches were available to get us started. We lugged our luggage over to the charter truck, double-checked the expected track of the rain clouds, and headed out on the route.

Day 6

Well I just updated the blog and it is 10:31 local time. Time to freshen up for the drive. I have had the TV on and have confirmed how stupid it is. I also forgot to mention that I have proved once again the guys can think of nothing. That is what I sometimes do while driving.
