We've settled in and developed a routine. Not nearly as exciting as in Europe but still filled with new people and experiences. The people in our building are friendly and welcoming. Chilly start to the day as we rode through the canyons east of Grand Junction and followed the mighty Colorado River. We climbed over the Rockies reaching a peak of 11,200 feet.

California was a big upset for our family. We did not strike it rich. We struggled to survive and had to come up with a different plan.
