Well today we go register for convention, and then tomorrow the fun begins. I'm so excited to relaunch my business and get ready for my retirement in the next year. I've met some great people here in Texas, having such a great time, and got out and did a 3 mile walk this morning to try to burn off the pecan pie I ate last night, LOL. I woke up very refreshed this morning, looked at my watch and it was 4:45. Im having little difficulty getting used to the two hour time difference, but got up took a nice 2 mile walk, it's only about 70 here right now very beautiful outside. Took my shower, and now reading a good book while Linda does her ranch stuff. She's feeding the horses, mowed the front yard on a pretty cool ride mower, and now just cleaning up. Meanwhile I'm reclining and posting on my blog with her adorable dog ...

... to our bikes the rain had...dare I say it...STOPPED! (PS: Two days after we visited Wemberly, the Blanco River overflowed its banks in very heavy rain and 20 residents were lost in the ensuing flood.)

We thanked our tour guide and stowed our rain armor as fast as we could. We wanted to start riding again while it was nice out. So, we headed northwest to Johnson City, TX. Why not? We were in the area.

Today, Monday 4/13 we left Ft Stockton and drove to the Austin, San Antonio area. I think its 320 miles or so. The weather has been sunny and warm with a breeze all day. We thought we might stay in a camping spot on the Guadalupe river near San Antonio. Real pretty area along the river. Really green with big trees. Looks like a lot of water rafting ...
