... to our bikes the rain had...dare I say it...STOPPED! (PS: Two days after we visited Wemberly, the Blanco River overflowed its banks in very heavy rain and 20 residents were lost in the ensuing flood.)

We thanked our tour guide and stowed our rain armor as fast as we could. We wanted to start riding again while it was nice out. So, we headed northwest to Johnson City, TX. Why not? We were in the area.

Got to the KOA in Bastrop Texas just before dark.  It was pretty buggy but the citronella candles helped.  We had our own tent spot in a large opened area on the Colorado River.       We had a problem with the spiky burrs weaved into the grass.  The dogs couldn't walk ...
