    Little Time for Everything

... paper due here in a week and I'm hesitant not because of the writing of it but instead of the time needed to do it.

These last two- three weeks have been extremely fruitful and worthwhile as I have been finding a balance between being lead, teaching others to lead and leading others. ... with just a few sprinkles but we must have timed everything great because there was plenty of wet roads so it seems like we just missed the rain. We headed up 129 today and drove past the Cheoah Dam where The Fugitive was filmed. There wasn't really a good pull off to take pictures plus we were afraid it was going to rain and none of us wanted to do the Dragon in the rain. I took I 77 west to the tunnel which crossed into West Virginia and took SR-598 to Bluefield where you see the first great vista. 598 hits 19 s to Tazweil where Rt. 16 starts, "The Back of the Dragon". Wow what a ride. I followed 16 to Rt. 58 at the Log Cabin Store in the pictures. Rt. 58 was a surprise because I was expecting rolling curves and country riding ...

... or two lanes, but with three lanes in each direction and it’s still a mess, well you get the idea. It was nuts. Neither of us had any idea that this area had all of this stuff and it certainly explains why the road is always so busy.

I also saw more pancake places than I have ever seen in one day, all on this road. I don’t know what it is about pancakes, but they had two IHOPs, and then one of every possible name of pancake house. We ...

... have fallen asleep. As we continued to wander down the main street of Gatlinburg I reminded Jerry that we were going downhill, meaning that we would be going uphill going back to the car. At that point we decided to turn around!

We got back to the car and then came on back to the RV. We rested, freshened up and took off to see the Day of Elijah. For some odd reason we had to be there at 5:00 but ...
