... from Bern Switzerland. Also saw an occasional Amish horse drawn cart and as you can see in the picture below a beautiful sunset that Amelia got to enjoy during morning devotions. Amelia really wanted to ride in the horse cart but got too shy to ask. Was sent off with an amazing care package including Starbucks gift card to keep me caffeinated for a while. Thank you Nancy. Next visit is on to Virginia.
... driving through Vail (talk about High Society!), and we ended up bypassing the Eisenhower Tunnel and taking a more scenic rout up to 12,000 feet and through snow capped mountains; so worth it!! We then drove into the Denver suburb of Thornton where we had free lodging at a friend Jordan had met at camp. It was a great night of delicious food and a great card game called Hanabi.

... I'm currently sitting in a room with a bunch of the guys from 3C, just chilling. Its so good to be back. Thanks to everyone who read this blog and enjoyed the pictures. I sure enjoyed posting about the awesome experience. This will be the last blog for a while, or at least until my next adventure.
... back to Chicago stopping at a truck stop on the way for a drink. This turned out to be another classic diner experience. Going into Chicago is was bucketing down with rain and difficult driving but we made it ok. I dropped the girls at our hotel, re-fueled the car and walked back to the hotel. The girls shopped for the arvo while I watched the Masters golf. Nice dinner at the 'Big Bowl' (Thai/Chinese). We're off to explore Chicago 'Old town' tomorrow.
