We ran into Harlan at breakfast. We asked about the person in prison who was his nephew. After breakfast, we walked around downtown Wahpeton. We walked into the Red Door Gallery. Interesting exhibition. It was a rural America theme.

... in Miller SD and got lunch/dinner to go. We finally arrived at Baymont Inn & Suites in Wahpeton around 8:30 PM. After we dropped off out luggage, we went to Marlene and Harold's house. We saw and chatted with Alan and Mary, Janell and Gary, and Harold and Marlene. We left their house around 10:15 PM after having a piece of chocolate zucchini cake. Delicious.

Grass! Water! Humidity! It's been 6 weeks of 15% humidity. Boy do we feel the change. But it is nice. The dogs love it! There is grass again. Drove across the state of North Dakota today. The sky was a crazy color. Turns out it was smoke all the way from the Oregon, Washington and Idaho fires. The summer of fires. I hope they get rain soon.
