    Lakes to City

A travel blog entry by thesmithfamily6 on Sep 17, 2014

One by one the majority of us trickled away from the cabin back to Minneapolis for flights to various locations. Such a shame it wasn't possible to have more than one full day together. We debated staying on but would have had to get up at at least 4 am in order to get to our flight on time decided not to. All that were left tonight was Laura and her new family.

    Lake Vermillion

A travel blog entry by captaindan on Jul 26, 2008

An ambulance passes. Siren blasting. An argument on a city street. These are the sounds coming in through my window. What I hear are the lake sounds that will be coming in through our vacation cabin windows. Loons in the morning. Motor boats in the afternoon. And in ...

Today we start off at the Coffee Cup in Marquette, which is a locally owned coffee shop and bookstore that sell breakfast and lunch items also. It is family run, and the people there are very hospitable, as are the locals that frequent the place. We then stop to the Farmer's Market for some organic travel goodies and some refreshments for the ...
