... highways. No such luck. Next stop was Guttenberg which turns out to be quite a little tourist town on the river at a lock. Found a quaint motel in an old list building right on the river. Reasonably priced room, even free wifi.

Had dinner at a nearby cafe also overlooking the river. I tried cat fish and Wes had a smoked Iowa chop. Watched a boat push 12 barges down the river. Barges are tied together.

What happened next was awesome. The movie scene where the baseball players came out of the corn field was re-enacted. Some of those involved were in the original movie. ...

... we could see a boneyard of former water bombers, planes taken from military use and re-purposed to drop water on wildfires.

After gassing up and taking a bathroom break, we were back in the air, trying to beat the heat and turbulence.

Just east of Greybull are the Big Horn Mountains, a line of mountains that run from North to South and soar to 12,000'. We had to circle to gain enough altitude before we headed on our route to the East. ...

... look around downtown. It's amazing the things you can learn, even after 16 years of living somewhere. We never knew that it was a Holy Week tradition to go to seven "monuments" (Catholic Churches) and recite prayers. In Bogota, because most people have the day off on Good Friday, that is when they do this. We found ourselves in crowds of tens of thousands of people walking from church to church to read certain prayers at each one!

    The next day, and ...
