... and the "open" sign was no longer illuminated.

I made casual mention that we must have bought the last tickets. Soon a park ranger showed up and announced that power was out in the whole park and most of the town.

Apparently they have one main power pole that someone decided to run a truck into.

We went heavy and hard all day at Universal and packed the kids, the tents and the smiles all in the van and started to drive north and west.
