... Denver and Golden. We had planned to visit Denver anyway and now we had the perfect opportunity to explore the city and surrounding areas. We stayed at the Marriott Courtyard in Lakewood, where a new light rail system gave us easy access to attractions in downtown Denver. The loaner car made it easy to explore Golden and run errands.

Our Mile High City visit coincided with some of the best weather we had seen since Mesa ...

... time.  And Israel itself -- I have traveled there once before but I didn't fall in love with it as I did this time, from the starkly beautiful Negev to cosmopolitan Tel Aviv to historic Jerusalem (although I'm horrified by what is happening now, even taking shelter from incoming rockets was a valuable experience, giving us heart-wrenching insight into the tortuous situation there....) I was so moved by the land, the people, the food, the history.... and I can't wait to go again. ...

Mo half your face is missing

  • The highlight of this day was when a Giraffe leaned over and licked Mo's face. Half of her make up left her and I couldn't help but laugh that half her face was missing. She spent hours in the bathroom cleaning her face and reapplying makeup.

  • By the end of the day we found a empty parking lot and decided just to crash there. In the morning we shall be hitting our last state.

    ... photos included. How wonderful it would be if I could have everything organized and get a travel book done in a timely manner. This is my goal, I hope that everyone enjoys being part of our great Spain adventure and can take the time to laugh with us as our kids are introduced to a new culture and the many new flavors and sights that we are bound to enjoy!!

    ... last one of them. The rest of us petered out eventually, ending up in the room with the videos, resting our brain from too much information.

    We made it across town to Stranahan's Whiskey Distillery - this was truly Jae's day! :) We did not sign up ahead of time and really lucked out when the guide let us in! Minutes later, we discovered that she lived in Lakewood Ohio for a time! She was a great guide! Her wit ...
