On to the Amtrak train, the California Zephyr, at 3am. This train route rates in the top 5 rail journeys of the world. Dozing in our seats we are woken by brilliant sunshine, to amazing rock formation as we travel through the black ridged Desolation Canyon Wilderness and cross the Colorado river, muddy due to the run off from the snow and the recent rains. Travelling on and the snow capped La Salle mountains can be seen in the distance across the plains. In this area are ...

... was exciting beyond belief. But when I didn't get my visa on time, and ended up losing hundreds of dollars on plane tickets I was beyond devastated. I am lucky enough to have two wonderful parents who supported me and allowed me the opportunity to learn from my mistakes. I am sure there will be many more to come. The plane was new, a B737-800, comfortable modern seats, mood lighting
and didn’t have the normal wear and tear of airplanes in service today. Our departure was on-time; we were at last, en route and very excited, it was 16:45 when we took off.

After several more hours, I finally made it to Eva and Cole's house. They live in Littleton with their mom and dad, Christi, and Tom, in a huge and lovely home with views of mountains from nearly every window. I'm so jealous.

We woke up this morning and looked out the window to see that there was still snow on the ground, but it was sunny and the light made the snow sparkle, so it was really pretty. We had breakfast, packed all of our things and drove to sears to get some things. Then we started on ...
