Finally got past Columbia late on the 9th and was able to stop along the Katy Trail in Rocheport. The trail just east of Rocheport is one of the most scenic stretches with high sandstone bluffs on the one side and the Missouri river right along the other side of the trail. We left Sedalia yesterday morning about 9:30, we had no trouble driving out of the camping area, but several people had to be towed out since it had rained a lot and the ground was still very wet. Couple that with vehicles which weigh upwards of 20,000-30,000 lbs and well you can picture what happened. We drove towards Columbia on I-70 and everything was right on track.
