The guy said it would come on in ten minutes. That ten minutes lasted all night. It never came on, so I brought everything home to do.

... is greater than 7000 feet. We drove through massive canons and valleys carved into existence through years of gatsatism. And started to see glimpses of the dry dessert seen in old cowboy and Indian movies. Again the views were beautiful with snow capped hills ever changing as we meandered down the way. Lunch was at a lookout over lake m??? I'll look that up. And the was lovely. By 2 o'clock we'd found our new camp at Keoughs Hot ...

... ve made a half dozen times over the course of the last 20 years... and is a trip and a place I really wanted to share with Cole. It's 25 mile ride on dirt roads that takes you from 4,000 feet upto 11,000 feet. I'll spare you my trying to describe it and let the pictures give you a sense of it.

We saw a couple getting a drive through wedding and from the minute we walked in the phone did not stop ringing. We had a really nice black minister who married us - the actual ceremony lasted about 15mins and he ...

... tossing and turning, fighting with my air pillow and claustrophobic sleeping bag that felt like a furnace.

But also, I had the chance to see this amazing granite basin that I had seen pictures of and knew was amazing. Due to the difficulty of the trail, I doubted I would ever come back again. It is too hard for a backpack I felt, and it is too long and hard of a trail for a day hike. If I wanted to day hike this trail, it would be 13 miles round trip, and that would not allow ...

... is that!?". My Dad saw it too. It was completely amazing. It almost looked like a UFO rather than a shooting star. One will never know. When I have googled shooting stars since, I have found no pictures online that match what we saw. It was a massive perfect circle with a star in the middle of the circle, and a thick trail, but a shorter trail than the other shooting stars we saw.

I ended up being somewhat surprised and disappointed in not being able to see ...
