More Missouri

We saw more of rural Missouri today. Our first stop was Wilson's Creek National Battlefield, which was the first major Civil War battle west of the Mississippi. It also saw the first Union general killed in combat. This site is very similar to the one we saw yesterday...driving tour with several stops to get out and look around. But, honestly, the land at a battlefield is just generally ...

Ali is so true and honest with herself ...

We were all pretty beat from the past two days of heavy riding, so a 72-mile day wasn't the first thing we all may have wanted to do this morning. I started the day with Mitch, Annie, and Ali. After about 10 miles though, I decided it was time for a little much needed "me" time. I spent the next 30 miles into lunch ...

Boots and BBQ Festival

We heard an ad on the radio about a BBQ festival in Oklahoma, it wasn't to far away so this was something we just had to check out. We arrived just after it started and they were already running out of the $6 tasting kits, the kits allowed you to sample about 12 stalls BBQ offerings; bargain! The stalls were all running out of food fast so we tried to sample as much as we could, pulled pork was the star but it was all so ...
