Cold and cloudy this morning. Today's trip took us through Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. Leaving New Orleans we took 90 East, instead of I-10. It parallels I-10, but is through the bayou, and a couple of small towns. Very little traffic. In Biloxi, Mississippi, we got back on the interstate to make better ...
... Rivers State Park; children whined and grumbled, sleepy bodies shocked by the cold as we carried them into the cabin. We noticed the astounding number of stars visible overhead (none of those cozy warm clouds to keep in some heat) but little else before we all collapsed thankfully into the pre-heated cabin.

Then I had three hours to kill. That's when I got tired! Think I fell asleep on the San Fran to Charlotte ...

The original plan was to mow the lawn yesterday since Steele had the day off, but mother nature had other plans. Mother nature planned for us to mow the lawn this afternoon between afternoon showers. I sure hope that this is not an omen of what's to come.
