    Got to see some cowboys herding the cattle.

    We have been gradually climbing as we came to the top with a sign for 6% grade (we ended up with 3 sets going down) I told Terry this must be the squiggles on the map. The mountains reminded me of a cross between Rockies and Smokies. What a beautiful mountain range sites.

    ... Mesa on Friday afternoon; and, after a full day around Apache Junction (details below) on Saturday, we got to a hockey game (Coyotes v. Calgary Flames) on Saturday night at Jobing.com arena (where another old classmate, Karen Erickson and her husband TomTeichman met us for a pre-game dinner!).

    It's Veterans Day ...we are so thankful to all those who have served, past and present... your dedication is so important in defending our freedom!

    We wake up each day to the sun peeking over the Superstition Mountains and saguaro cactus and the sound of birds… lots of birds; and end each day with blazing sunsets. Warm days and cool nights… and the snow birds have landed- from Canada and points north. It's like the Florida of the West.
