    ... But the place used to fill up to the brim when he was playing as so many people would come to watch him play. I covered a shift for a colleague as well that day so I worked until 6pm. I was so tired but the girls insisted on going out for a birthday dinner and drinks! We went to Uno pizza. It was amazing! It's just on 17th Avenue in Downtown. Delicious!! We got a mushroom pizza, pulled pork and another one which was typically Canadian and had bacon and maple syrup! They were amazing! ...

    After an incredibly eye opening two weeks our travel study has come to an end. Going into this trip I was entirely unaware of what to expect and had no idea that I would gain such wonderful insight into what effective development can be on a micro level.     ... traditions of the angel on the tree and the Christmas stockings. Mums decorations she made are up and people have commented - it's been nice. Other little things - I've been babysitting for other families - 4 others actually. Which is handy - extra pocket money. Have been baking lots. Made a pav which was a hit. Had Kendra's birthday and her works kids Christmas party with Santa and face painting and stuff this week. Kendra's parents came to visit and had Grey Cup Sunday ...
