Day eight
Today we crossed the Cumberland Gap and had a picnic lunch at the visitor center. We figure that walking on the trail is another adventure.
After leaving that area we encountered rain in Lexington, KY and drove through that until we reached Wooster, OH.
Glad to be home again. No more trips till 2013.

My last stop for this blog was Oberlin, Ohio, home of Oberlin College. A pretty and
quiet small town and campus. And all the people I met were very friendly. I recommend
stopping by if ever close. Now I am on to the Akron, Ohio area for my first National Park,
Cuyahoga. More about it next time.

First day of Rain
... the big cities, definetly more traffic and more construction. The breaks in between where you didn't have the issues with traffic are getting less and less. So add the rain to the mix and the guys decided they had enough of driving. We did travel around 266 miles, so another Walmart parking lot. Changed our minds, flew south
Midday temperature: 78F
Well we decided to park Star and head south to the warmer weather! Just kidding.
We left Pennsylvania this morning; the fog was so thick in the mountain valleys it was difficult to see the road at times but it soon cleared as we reached the top of the mountain range. At an elevation of 2250ft. it is the highest point east of the Mississippi.
