From ABQ we crossed the Texas Panhandle into Oklahoma where we have stopped in Oklahoma City for three nights. It is very hot and humid here but we were lucky to find a shaded site for our RV at a lovely KOA ...
... on these buildings and on their builders, Perhaps the most stunning of them all was a large opulent Methodist church which can only be described as awe-inspiring in its spirituality. The man who envisioned this church, and saw it built to his specs, had the stated intention of creating a place where people would be motivated to pray, by virtue of the building’s impact of the building on them. We almost started praying ourselves.

We made it to just outside Oklahoma City to the small town of Yukon, OK (home of Garth Brooks) by dusk, did some laundry, had a great hamburger at a local chain, and called it a day.
Today we slept in, the fast food and driving was starting to take its tole and we didn't wake up till almost 10am. We had a long 5/6 hour drive ahead of us with lots of stops so we quickly got ready & skipped breakfast.
