... windows across the front and back of the building. Inside you will find thousands more bottles in refrigerators. We are not a pop drinking family but we all had a field day. Even Paul and Elizabeth who don't like fizzy drinks, got one. We sat in the diner and ordered delicious burgers. They even had a gluten free bun!!! I really wanted a burger. ... been featured on Food Network (one of my fave TV channels) so that made it even more special. It was a quinessential old style diner and, as we have noticed every where in the South, the people were so friendly and enjoyed chatting with us. They always want to know where "ya'all" are from and headed :) It was another perfect Historic Route 66 moment!

We enjoyed the rolling hills of Oklahoma noticed it had the beautiful red soil like Georgia and Kaua'i.

Today, we drove into the city of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to visit the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. Surprisingly, driving into Oklahoma City was rather easy until we hit all the detours downtown near the museum. More stops. More wind energy generator's as far as the eye could see. The weather was mostly cloudy but tolerable.

We made it to just outside Oklahoma City to the small town of Yukon, OK (home of Garth Brooks) by dusk, did some laundry, had a great hamburger at a local chain, and called it a day.
