Similarly to naming Qingdao both the Switzerland and Riviera of China Suzhou is named the Venice of China. I think Suzhou deserves it's title a little more than Qingdao though. It's well pretty and has all sorts of fancy gardens you can visit, my favourite being 'The most Humble Administrator's Garden.' I took most of my photos in there.
