So, it occurred to me I had to leave for this trip very last minute.
I am an amazing trip planner, but somehow threw myself through this
doozy. Best advice I can give to fellow travelers: avoid booking
your hotel ahead of time. I mean, if you are going to a weekend
event that is annual or somewhat popular nationally, different story.

... The roads were awesome with a wide shoulder all the way to my next stop! Just on the outskirts of Hamilton is an awesome lake. The website I found listed it as having camping, but there were no signs when I got there. I asked a fisher, and he said he didn't think people camped there. Looks like I'll be the first! I set up on the grass near the lake, and no one bothered me. A bunch of little critters were crawling around the picnic tables. I sat and watched ...

Anyway, we have set off this morning (only 1 hour and 40 minutes late). We picked up the RV yesterday before Liam's graduation and conveniently ended up packing up till about 12:30am! I was still trying to figure out who I had asked to stay at the house, take care of cat and dog and give them some guidance on what I was asking them to do. We are fairly confident ...
... at a campground that is close to a lake. We spent the day biking and chilling. We cooked dinner around the campfire, and finished cooking just before the rain started. This is actually the first rain we have had during the day, and that was just while we were eating dinner.
We have driven 1,100 miles since we started....about 1/3 of the way across the US. On to Lincoln, Nebraska tomorrow to see what all the Cornhusker fans are so proud of!
The first of many baseball stadium visits for 2014! Although the attendance was pretty low (about 14, 900) the stop at Kauffman was definitely worth it. Probably one of the nicest stadiums in terms of appearance and amenities. That big screen was just the coolest thing ever! Plus they posted live tweets which was fun for ...
