We got here yesterday, after spending a couple days in Pender, Nebraska, picking up the car, tow bar, etc., and getting a tour of the Blue Ox Plant.
The temps started getting quite hot as soon as we got here - and we got out to enjoy the amazing pool very quickly.

... The roads were awesome with a wide shoulder all the way to my next stop! Just on the outskirts of Hamilton is an awesome lake. The website I found listed it as having camping, but there were no signs when I got there. I asked a fisher, and he said he didn't think people camped there. Looks like I'll be the first! I set up on the grass near the lake, and no one bothered me. A bunch of little critters were crawling around the picnic tables. I sat and watched ...
... temp will be ~60 degrees. That just doesn't sound like good food handling best practices.... Don't worry, we brought our cooler with ice.
Rob has agreed to drive the first bit, and by bit, I mean many, many hundreds of miles for today and I promised that I would try not to nod off again while navigating (it only happened once...)

... at a campground that is close to a lake. We spent the day biking and chilling. We cooked dinner around the campfire, and finished cooking just before the rain started. This is actually the first rain we have had during the day, and that was just while we were eating dinner.
We have driven 1,100 miles since we started....about 1/3 of the way across the US. On to Lincoln, Nebraska tomorrow to see what all the Cornhusker fans are so proud of!
