... I would still encourage anyone visiting the Boston area to make the trip and see it.

Unfortunately, Ann had to attend her conference, so I went solo. I had reserved a car rental for the 11 mile drive out to the suburb of Independence, Missouri. I had planned on being there 30 minutes before anything started or opened. Truman is known as the "Man from Independence" for a reason. It is a fairly old town, where Harry Truman lived ...

Kicking Back in the Heat!

I set up on the grass near the lake, and no one bothered me. A bunch of little critters were crawling around the picnic tables. I sat and watched ...

... temp will be ~60 degrees. That just doesn't sound like good food handling best practices.... Don't worry, we brought our cooler with ice.
Rob has agreed to drive the first bit, and by bit, I mean many, many hundreds of miles for today and I promised that I would try not to nod off again while navigating (it only happened once...)
Ah, just passed a sign COLUMBUS 133 MILES! Don't worry, not going to document every ...
