... would be the term I would use. On June 9th we arrived in Walker, Minnesota. It is lush and beautiful here. We spent the afternoon relaxing in the pool and planning out our next couple of weeks. We are headed to Itasca State Park today for some exploring. There are miles and miles of paved bike trails in this area, so I know we will be busy on the ...

... the $5 day pass to the park. At least it also was used for Lake Itasca park. Lake Lasalle State Recreation area campground was ok. A reclaimed forest which is trying to come back it is sleepy and also a bit depressing. On the good side it has full hookups and was quiet. After setting up camp we drive over to Lake Itasca to find the headwaters. We spent some time reading about the formation of the area, and the Mississippi ...

Day 64 (June 19) -- 7:14 am in Chetek, Wisconsin and the rain is just pelting down and the thunder sounds right overhead. We awoke to a very light rolling thunder and a few raindrops but the rising tone of the thunder and less time in between rolls warned us the storm was fast approaching ... subtle sheets of lightning and it's quite the storm we have over us right now. The ground already looks wet. Do love the sound of the rain on Harvey, though.
