We stuck to the I-94 and drove under the overpasses and through a tunnel, seeing the skyline and bits and pieces of the two cities which are some 10 miles apart but there is really no obvious break between the two (no wonder they merged as one).     Wow!! We stopped at this beautiful Wayside park for lunch & ended up staying 4 days!! There were only 5 RV sites all with full hook ups including free WiFi!! There was only one other camper so we had several nice sites to choose from. We just couldn't believe how wonderful the park was ...
