    ... futile attempt to find anything else worth seeing in Memphis. The Peabody Hotel was worth seeing for its classic lobby and lounge, complete with a fountain in the centre and the famous Peabody Hotel ducks… about four mallards that live in the fountain permanently Twice a day they do a famous duck parade from their roost upstairs to hang out at the fountain most of the day.     It was only a short walk from the hotel and we got there at 12.20pm, but by the time we ordered and got our food and ate it was 2pm, then we had to wait for the bill, as the group that i was with was paying we saw that there was no one else around and that more food for the rest of the group was still being prepared, but we had to get back to the hotel to help unload the coach, so that others could get their bags, but when we got back we found that ...

    ... Tennessee." I just couldn't get that Paul Simon song out of my head. After the big day and night yesterday we had a leisurely start and walked the 5 min walk to Graceland at about 9:30am. It was Sunday so it was pretty quiet, I'm guessing because everyone was still in Church.

    Graceland was very commercial with 8 separate museums/exhibits as well as his Graceland house itself. Every exhibit had its own shop and you could just about buy anything Elvis. We ...

    ... in Nashville a few days ago we walked down Broadway street where all of the clubs had their artists tuned way up and you could hear the music streaming out in the street. There were also many future country stars on the street playing their instruments for people to hear. This was a lot of fun to see and listen to.

    I mention that because we assumed Beale Street in Memphis would be like Broadway ...
