      Memphis and the Mustang

... a map or using technology, so we headed all over Memphis till something made sense. I had some nice pull offs from the lights, and this girl wanted to party. She refused to smoke till we turned off the no smoking sign (which we later worked out was traction control!) We found our hotel where google said it was but trust me they lie about all sort of sh*t. There is no consumer guarantees act here in the US, so get off your stupid mule and stop complaining that you ...

We walked up the street and came across a bunch of paintings by George Hunt, a famous local artist whom we really liked. We even tried to go see his work during our visit but the gallery was only open on the weekends and they didn't return our call requesting an appointment (as they advertised on the gallery door). However, we do have these pictures.

After a brief visit at country central (Nashville) we were off to the arch rival and home of Elvis, Memphis. There is a famous street called Beale which is were most of the bars are with the live blues music and ribs etc. Its quite similar to Nashville but definately had their differences. Besides both being centered around different music styles, the people, the food and the venues were all very different. There ...

The second part focused on the Steamboat tradition of the MIssissippi River; culminating in a refurbished steamboat that you could explore, complete with sound effects and lighting. It was very cool and we threw a couple of coins into the water and made a wish...just like the thousands before us.

The third section was my! It covered the birth of the blues from the songs sung by slaves, to ...
