Just before leaving Mechanicville we got an email from Lock One Marina that they had still not received our filters.... at least we now knew we would be at our anchorage at a good hour! We left just after 8 am to tackle the last two locks in the Champlain Canal and the Federal Lock at Troy. We did still stop at Lock One Marina for diesel, and he filled us up so quickly we were even still able to make it through Lock 1 with the other sailboat Callipyge we had been traveling ...

This Van Gogh and Nature exhibit features nearly fifty paintings and drawings from thirty museums and private collections around the world. And Van Gogh is one of my most favorite artists! After a quick lunch we moved through Lock 4 and on to our next planned stop- Mechanicville. The wall has power, water, ...

I did more shopping at the outlets in Kittery, Maine before we headed for the back roads across New Hampshire and Vermont. Our destination for the day was Albany for a visit with our granddaughter. The times that we had taken this route, I had admired ...

... the Green Mountains of Vermont on the 6th....what a beautiful trip this was.

8/6-8/11....Our first stop was Saint Johnsbury, VT where we stayed at the Moose River Campground. The campground caters to adults only and our site was right on the Moose River. While in Saint Johnsbury we visited Dog Mountain which caters to dogs (obviously). They have an art gallery which features the work of Steve Hunneck, a doggie chapel where ...
