By living in Rome, I learned a sad amount of the Italian language, how to dangerously cross the road in the midst of afternoon traffic, the closest place to watch the sunset, which public transportation to take without having to purchase a ticket, and how easy it is to **** off any Italian... all important things to survive ...

I recall driving through Williamstown on a family road trip to Canada in the early 1980s right around the time I was starting to think about colleges. I had heard of Williams College and somehow liked the idea of a small college in a mountain town. I wanted to go to school some place warmer, though, so didn't apply, but recall one of my middle school friends who went to a different high school ...

      Bennington - Quintessential New England
