... the low 70's. We really enjoyed the day!!
The campground is very nice and reminds us of our Salt Spring days. Lots of permanent residents, at least for the winter, and many of the spaces on the Menominee River, The river is very nice and we were on the Michigan side, the other side of the river is Wisconsin.

So, for my sister Sandra - we took WI 32 North to Eagle River. East on 70 to 139 and when we crossed the border in Michigan it changed to 189. East on MI 424 passed George Youngs Golf Course and right on Pentoga Road.

    Enjoy the colors!

... The rest if the town surrounds the hill, with a huge church at the top, behind which I have pitched my tent. I write this from the bar downtown, and beers are an inexplicable $1.50. Perhaps it is Michigan's taxes, or this place is just awesome, either way it is treating me well. Today is kind of day. Early start with sunlight, hearty breakfast, early finish, quiet, free place to camp, good bar, good food. Good night. Mercer WI > Crystal Falls MI, 90 miles, day ...
