Amazingly enough, we were able to wake Alex and Cameron up at 7:45, which considering that they stayed up to 11 watching a Star Wars movie, is all the more incredible. As soon as the two of them woke up, they fell right back into playing together, as if they had known themselves their entire lives.
After getting up and around, Chris and Cameron joined Alex and I to go to the airport, but not before saying our thank yous and goodbyes to Lisa ...
... I've heard of another Nebraska Republican who has served in politics for as long as Marv has. He has now put in SIXTY years as a GOP volunteer. Isn't that incredible? He started off with the late Sen. Carl Curtis in 1954 and has served a number of Republican leaders since then. Isn't it great to know about someone who has stayed that active and engaged into his 90s?
Hats off to you, Marv, and know that I deeply appreciate your support and friendship!

Big crowd and lots of interesting conversations at the Fremont Golf Club as the Fremont Chamber of Commerce held its annual banquet.
Here I am with faithful campaign volunteer and longtime GOP leader Marv Welstead, as well as Ron & Ann Tillery. Ron's the executive director of the Chamber.
Always a pleasure to be in Fremont!
