Once I was in my room, I talked with Mike for a bit. Then, I watched the movie Whip It starring Ellen Page.
Following my movie, Mohini was on my mind. I miss her so much. Mohini was basically one of the guys. She was so chilled. Mohini was not materialistic. She did not care for drama. Most of the time, she went off doing her own thing and she did not care what others thought. It was so easy to hang out with her. I wished that she came back to Beijing. ...
... 10 yuan change. I am all wtf and he says 15 yuan each. I say no you said the whole thing. So I try to make him take them back but he won't cause he put soy sauce on them already. So I just stood there for a while tried to sell them to other people. Other people came up and paid the same price so I was all hmm ok i guess but at that price I wouldn't have gotten them. In the heart of Beijing lie many of the big guns of Chinese tourism. Tiananmen Square, the Tiananmen Gate, Maos Mausoleum.
And of course the Forbidden City. A sprawling complex of temples, museums, gates and palaces that spans an intimidating 720,000 meters squared.
I take the train out to Tienanen West station, where I have the first of what will be 6 security check body ...
... and is further away than we realised so we may end up staying in Beijing. There isn't the NY celebrations you get back in the UK or elsewhere around the world, it's all saved for the Chinese NY which is in February next year, but there are still plenty of things going on, we just need to make a decision really.

Con: We only line up in lines THAT long for a Chili Peppers concert. Walking around the perimeter made for a lovely (free of charge) stroll.
Pro: City maps are readily available throughout the city.
Con: Some of them are from the Olympics... a tad outdated. Plus a block on the map or ‘just around the corner’ = 4km of deceived walking. A Beijing ...
