    ... and out of the bars. Shame we had to purchase a drink in each one.


    We didn't go in this one but we loved the sign.








    Barry had a dance when the Elvis impersonator was signing and didn't know I had the camera out. The singer wouldn't allow me to take his pic when Barry sang with him. Spoilt sport.

    ... street to listen to the music and do a bit of sight seeing, this place is sort of like a blues version of old vegas with less flashing lights but the same party feel. One thing that is a vast difference to Nashville is the big police presence, they are at every entrance to the Beale Street area and as the night gets later they are checking ID's and bags as well as doing body scans. After a while We go back to the motel to rest up before our big day at Graceland ...

    ... for thinking you were walking in completely the wrong direction...ghost town much? We were really surprised. We thought Memphis would be similar to Nashville in terms of liveliness but it wasn't until we were basically right on Beal St that we reassured there were other people in town barring us...weird.

    Anywho, after a short stroll up and down the neon madness that is Beal St, we settled on Rum Boogie, a place famed for it's great live ...
