Nehalem was GREAT ! This was our first yurt experience (which, unfortunately, I didn't get pictures of - sorry !) but I recommend staying in one if you get the chance! Russell (camp ground guy ..) was so friendly and got us all set up and good to go. The beach is just a short walk away from the campsite, and again - miles and miles of white sand. The state park is just outside of a little town called Manzanita, such a cute little town, not too busy, and a great place to watch the sunset !

On the way back to the site, I notice a gorgeous sky and take a detour via the beach. As I head away from the beach, the moon is just peeking out above the hills in the distance and the stars are already plentiful. "And I think to myself, what a wonderful world..."

... even small children! Very cold water. We drove from there to a nearby place, Brighton, where we went to Kelly's crab place. Amazing!! Live crabs cooked and cleaned while we watched (they also have oysters and clams). Will include photos of all this. New to me, and such fun. So that was dinner bought. Had a while of total relaxation - reading, downloading photos, playing words with friends, in ...

... on the board he chilled out a bit, but it was short lived! Ryan tried to catch one wave with him and then he was swimming for the shore. But he was good, he hung out on the shore while we hung out on our boards! He has been so good, he just goes along with whatever were doing, one adventure after another! So bed feels good tonight; Ryan on one side, Axel on the other and the sound of the waves crashing in along that long beautiful sandy beach. What more can a girl ask for. ...

... 17 - one was occupied by a small trailer that never showed any indication of a tenant. Kelly must have planted that one to make the place look busy. We backed up to the rail that separated us from the water, plugged in [ which was difficult because all of the hookups were on the opposite side of the trailer, unlike every other campground in the world ], and walked up to the office/counter to set up a tab for our ...
