... out on the beach! Having driven the beaches of North Carolina for 20 years, I was very leery about driving our Nissan Altima rental car out on the sand. It turns out that the beach was very firm and we drove out for a picture or two and to see the ocean! ... birthday (already August 6 in Sydney). That was lovely. We caught her just up and having breakfast! Then I had my first hour long brisk walk along the beach. Just fabulous. The beach is always very breezy and despite walking hard needed a fleece to be comfortable! Tonight we went to the pub, the San Dune, for dinner. End of another great day. Our fourth and final night here in Nehalem Bay state park, it is 9:00 and were in bed!
