    ... lake began was not worth the risk. It was a beautiful island and would be very pretty in all seasons.

    After Acadia (and 4 nights in a row of sleeping in the van, which is well shy of last trips record, we must be getting old!) we were very excited to be heading to New Hampshire, the land of no tax, for a hotel and 2 days shopping.     Went skiing with the Reidy's and their cousins. Jay Peak is definitely a must on a skiers list. Some sweet glade skiing for novices. Packed powder. 25 degrees. Barely a breeze. A couple of quads and a tram bought you to the top. Sitting on the Canadian border in northern Vermont, it's quite remote making for small lift lines.     ... Highway through the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The Highway starts around Conway and we were headed to Lincoln, then would decide from there which way to go.

    The weather had really closed in and it was wet, cold and could've been so miserable. We were determined to make the most of it though and we really enjoyed what we saw. The views would've been different, yes, however, we saw the mist and rain as a new dimension ...

    the rain could stop anytime now. it has rained every day we have been here. i think making the last two weeks with having about two days where it hasn't rained. we were so glad to be out of the woods at the last place as we were getting eaten alive by mosquitos. so we are glad to be at this campsite. we are camping on the river, well, the river is below us but it is too dangerous to go in it or on it since it has so much rain. ...

    T.V. Series alert: HULU Plus has a great series about a cross dressing, Korean Artist who lived as a male for years so she could become a Royal Painter: "The Painter of Wind". 20 episodes and it is an excellent story!!! Great characters! Fun and inspiring.
