... it. The official name is the Battle of Wounded Knee, but that isn't what happened. The Lakota will tell you, as they have changed the name to Massacre...there was no battle. We spoke with some very nice Lakota tribes people who really wanted to share their story. We were on our way through the Black Hills to see the Crazy Horse monument and Mount Rushmore.  We rode through Deadwood and Hill City on our way and both places were teeming with bikes, particularly Hill City, where we stopped for some food. We got to Crazy Horse and started our visit by watching ...

We got some pictures, a postcard, and Alison get her squished penny. Everyone was happy and we moved on to our next destination: Bayard, Nebraska where Chimney Rock is located.
