Today we had a late morning. We are mostly getting organized to go to Belize. We fly out of Phoenix on January 28. W had a lot of laundry to do. ... out of us, 107 in the shade! Whew that's hot. So very little time out of the car! One time we made an exception was at Apache Jct to get an ice-cream, proper stuff not gelati or sno freeze.
The lake is used for pleasure seekers with boats, and today was a blue shade in parts with green in others. But it looked cold despite the heat from the sun!
Tomorrow we'e being taken to Flagstaff to see more of the Grand Canyon.

Back on I-10, we connected to I-40 at Flagstaff. The winds were getting gustier, and we were rockin’ along. We stopped at a Rest Stop and noticed a crew of DOT workers along the roadway. My observation: It is a true sign of job security when you see DOT workers pushing a broom into 25MPH headwinds.
